IN REVIEW: If you enjoy
I haven't had a savory edible in a long time. I feel like you don’t see them as often at most dispensaries. Or maybe I just need to seek them out a bit more because I’m really more of a savory than sweet kind of gal. I’ve never really been into sugar, but it can be hard to pass up if you're looking to go the edible route. You see a lot of creamy chocolates, sweet and sour gummies, delightful mints and refreshing beverages, but realistically, salt is more aligned with my diet. A microdose with lunch? Sounds amazing! I felt lucky to come across this perfect line of savory crackers that both fulfill my cravings and medicate me at the same time.
“It took some time for this subtle high to come around, but when it did, it was a delightful hello! ”
As of writing this, it’s August in California, and the weather is unbearably hot. Even though we live close to the beach and typically get a nice breeze, that's not the case right now. The summer heat has made it hard to cook in the kitchen, so meals like fresh spring rolls, take out or charcuterie platters have been a lifesaver. The ultimate board would be filled with prosciutto or salami, a couple of funky cheeses, fresh stone fruit, pears or even a crisp apple. There are a couple more items you can’t leave out, like fig preserves or mixed nuts, and don't forget a vessel that brings them together! Enter these crackers.
When you’re creating a sweet and savory platter, why not throw some edibles into the mix? Each pack of these sour cream and onion infused edibles contains ten crackers with two milligrams of THC apiece. Tempo’s products are crafted in Venice with good vibes and simple ingredients. “Snack, Share, Dose,” as they say. This line of crackers was made for this kind of thing! Let's dive into what Tempos products are all about. When you open the soft-matte green bag, sour and creamy notes will immediately awaken the senses, while a scent of herby chives accompanied by earthy cannabis will soon follow. I grabbed five crackers, their recommended 10mg serving, and it was time to take a bite. These crackers are thick, like a pita chip baked to perfection. Ohhh that crunch had developed flavors of parmesan, onion and wheat. They were a little dry, but I guess that's to be expected in a cracker. They paired well with other flavors and mouthfeels, like soft and creamy cheese, and equally savory cured meats.
“I felt as if I’d taken to my yoga mat to stretch out those tight muscles.”
They’re definitely a product you could keep eating, but I didn’t want to overdo it. I wanted to really see what effects would come to fruition in the recommended dose. I finished my meal and had some gardening to tend to. I went about my day, forgetting I’d indulged in a microdose of THC. It took some time for this subtle high to come around, but when it did, it was a delightful hello! This welcomed greeting offered such a mellow dose of relief and relaxation. Everything was clear, and I was mildly chillin. My scrambled thoughts on my to-do list suddenly seemed organized. I felt as if I’d taken to my yoga mat to stretch out those tight muscles, relieving any tension there was in my back and legs. My high was mild and light. Not overpowering as some edibles can be, even at low doses. These left me loose, maybe a little focused and honestly good to just keep going on with my day. My high was consistent with no real side effects, and I was pretty stoked on that.
As my high’s traits didn't really lean towards an
