Core Sleep by Proper offers a consistent, groggy-free state of slumber.
IN REVIEW: Each bottle of Core Sleep comes with 60 vegan capsules containing natural botanical ingredients like Valerian Root, Ashwagandha, GABA, and Venetron Rafuma leaf extract. It’s a non-habit forming formula that's gentle on the stomach, and it’s free of any artificial coloring, heavy metals, pesticides or GMO’s. Just take down two caps with a full cup of water before your nighttime routine, and get ready to slip away into an uninterrupted state of deep sleep.
The things I liked most about Core Sleep by Proper were its all-natural ingredients, and just as important, the absence of melatonin. Most sleep aids I’ve tried come with melatonin, and it tends to turn me into Rip Van Winkle at times. AKA a groggy and foggy brained puddle the next day. Additionally, it sometimes has the effect of turning out my lights too abruptly. Not unlike being clonked on the head by a falling anvil. The Core Sleep, however, managed to seamlessly and gently put me to bed. Akin to a turn of the century midwife rocking you in her arms while she hums an old lullaby.
“Before I knew it, my eyelids were heavy, and off I went to Sleepytime Junction.”
I normally don’t have trouble sleeping, but after a week of moonlighting I needed something to help me get my regular sleep schedule back on track. On my first night off, I took the suggested two capsules, and sure enough, I was able to drift off within the hour. It went something like this: Two pills down the hatch, then I sat down to watch a reality show about pottery, and before I knew it, my eyelids were heavy, and off I went to Sleepytime Junction. I was none the worse for wear the following morning and had no issue getting ready for and completing a 7-mile run. My experience with sleep aides has mostly been on both sides of the extreme. They either don’t work at all, or they turn my lights out and have me hibernating through winter. The Core Sleep seems to be the Goldilocks formula that has things calibrated to just the right level.
The real test came for my wife, however. For her, a full night’s sleep is as elusive as the snow leopard of the Himalayas. She also has a chronic auto-immune disease that further exacerbates her sleeplessness. The fact the Core Sleep helped her is alone worth its weight in gold. As her illness is stomach-oriented, most sleep aides tend to cause irritation, and as such, they keep her up. The all-natural and gentle ingredients provided her with no such reaction, and she was able to string together consecutive nights of restful sleep.
It’s truly a game-changer in that regard, and while I don’t generally have issues getting rest, I’ll be picking up more of this product for her. She really is a great bellwether in this regard, as by this point she’s tried nearly every sleep product there is. She’s currently relying on low-dose cannabis edibles coupled with two of the Core Sleep capsules before bed, and it seems to be doing the trick.
“The Core Sleep seems to be the Goldilocks formula that has things calibrated to just the right level. ”
For many sleep aids, the real test comes the following morning. Depending on the ingredients contained therein, you can be lying in bed for an extra hour or so and banging on your snooze button as if it were a tin drum. The Core Sleep does not deprive you of a fully awakened state the following morning, and my energy reserves were abundantly present. The combo of valerian root and other natural botanicals provides a harmonious blend that’s easy on both mind and body, and diligent in helping you attain the prolonged rest you seek.
