Review by Lindsay MaHarry

Grav’s stylish and sustainable glass joints remind us that not all ganja gimmicks are bad.
IN REVIEW: This collab from Grav and Eel River gives you an excellent on-the-go option that’s also 100% reusable. Each pack comes with seven preloaded glass “
Since cannabis became legal(ish) in California, the steady influx of new users has spurred a boom of weed products aimed at simplifying the process of getting high. For the brands catering to these consumers, most of whom don’t know how to roll a joint and definitely don’t own a
Unfortunately, convenience often comes at a price paid by the environment. The cleaner ways to smoke, like rolling a joint or taking a glass hit, are reserved for people who know how to do those things. Many products aimed at new users, like disposable
“The reusable plastic plug allows you to plug it up, toss it in a bag, and hit it again later.”
On the other side of this coin, however, are those products that manage to bridge the gap between products and noobs without sacrificing the health of the planet. The best example I’ve come across are these Cosmic Glass Pre-Rolls by Grav Labs and Eel River Organics.
At first, the concept of a glass joint kind of bugged me. As a super stoner who has been persecuted A LOT over the years, especially high school years, for my open love of weed, people who can’t roll joints secretly annoy me. Subconsciously, it represents a new wave of yuppies coming into the industry who have no business being there. But then again, that’s just me being a hater. And once I got past my own stupid bias, I realized they’re actually one of the cooler, more environmentally friendly weed inventions ever.
Grav’s glass joints basically work like a never-ending
Light the flower, and inhale. As the joint burns, you continue to push the burnt weed and ash out with a syringe style motion, tapping it like you would tap the ash off a cigarette or joint. After taking a minute to figure out the design, I did just that.
I was immediately impressed. The flower’s flavor was savory, rich, and herbal. The glass joint design hit really well, giving you the choice of smoking it consistently as it stays lit like a joint, or tapping off the cherry and taking intermittent hits like you would a chillum. Another cool feature is the reusable plastic plug allows you to plug it up, toss it in a bag, and hit it again later.
The high felt like a balmy day at the park, or a soft breeze passing through a tree with new leaves. It was light, relaxing, euphoric, and perfect for spending the day doing nothing at all. Shocked by how epic my high was, I did some googling to find out what brand was responsible for the flower. Once I found out the flower was dry-farmed by Eel River Organics, it all made sense.

Eel River is a brand out of Humboldt that specializes in a technique called dry farming, a process that produces flower with higher cannabinoids and terpene profiles in an environmentally sustainable way. Their plants are naturally irrigated due to the farm’s proximity to the Eel River and grow without the use of any added water, pesticides, or herbicides.
“Our partnership with GRAV matches really well with our environmental sustainability efforts,” said Jeff Guillot, CEO of Eel River Organics. “We love that consumers can reuse these joints or toss them in their recycling bin after use. We also know our customers will appreciate an on-the-go, long-use option,” Guillot said.
Grav Glass Joints come in packs of seven, containing an 1/8th of flower total, and cost forty bucks. They’re available in Electric (
Not only do I recommend the Cosmic joints for daytime hangs and nights you want to unwind, the proprietary design of this glass joint system is just a really dope thing to have. They’re fully refillable and reusable and are a great new way to get high, especially if you’re on the go. Five stars.
