Quality is important, especially when you're looking to treat yourself or better your health. They make their products by using organic, non-GMO, whole-plant herbs and outdoor grown cannabis, which is grown with organic and biodynamic farming methods. I always love to see cannabis flower grown free of chemicals and pesticides. Beyond their cultivation practices, they also have a foundation called Cynthia’s Sisters, “Which raises money to put girls through law school in the Democratic Republic of Congo.” Pretty cool! Kikoko’s line of products range from cannabis-infused teas and tinctures to their Little Helpers and honey shots. They have three options for their mints: Sleep, Calm and Focus. I chose to try the Sleep and Calm mints separately.

The Calm Little Helpers have 5mg of CBD and 2.5mg of THC per mint. The botanicals are l-theanine for relaxation, spearmint to relieve pain and clear the mind and lavender to provide comfort and soothe stress or pain. It also has moringa, an adaptogen and green superfood that's rich in antioxidants. Okay, enough with the details, time to dive in. These mints were herbal, sweet, floral and had a wonderful mouth feel. It was a crunchy texture that melts in your mouth. They also leave a nice and minty aftertaste that pleasantly begs you to grab another.

These are straight up microdosable chillness. As I started to feel the CBD and THC take effect, light waves of relaxation started to take the edge off. These mints seemed to calm me pretty fast. I felt a bit loungy, but not enough to actually snooze. They’d be great to keep in your bag for on-the-go moments of respite. They’d also be great for a yoga class, or really just anyone who’s looking for a gentle high. I think you could easily take a couple to feel a bit more sleepy, which could lead to some solid slumber and sweet dreams.

I was all amped up after a busy and stressful day, making it the perfect time to try the Sleep Little Helpers. They have 3mg CBN, which is the oxidized result of THC with sedative qualities, 2mg of regular THC and 1mg of melatonin apiece. Add to that essence of rose and peppermint and you have the perfect concoction to create a sedative and relaxing experience. These sounded like they might do the trick. As soon as I popped one into my mouth, I was met with a sweet, minty, creamy, herbal, almost tea-like flavor. That rose comes through very lightly in the best of ways. I only took one because I don’t typically take any melatonin or anything to aid in sleep.

The combo of CBN, THC and melatonin will be my new go-to for getting a good night's rest. I ended up falling asleep, and when I woke up I felt refreshed and ready for a new day ahead!
