Being that I made a lot as I always do, I offered some to my neighbor who also enjoyed it quite a bit. The problem there is that one is not likely to get the full 5mgs of THC, being that consuming an ounce of hot sauce may be a bit much for some. Still, this was not overly spicy, so one could consume a good bit without any distress. For me this worked purely as a good hot sauce, but I would probably not reach for this if all I wanted was to get high.

After all, the buzz was quite subtle, and for someone with a higher tolerance level, it may be almost imperceptible. It also helps that this medicated hot sauce is sugar free, gluten free and vegan. Less guilt, a bit of THC, and some spice always make a killer trio.

Saucy also offers up a Sweet Heat Texas Style BBQ sauce that is also sugar free. I cannot count how many BBQ sauces at my local grocery store contain sugar, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this. I was even more pleasantly surprised that the flavor was spot on, with equal parts sweet smokiness and savory richness. Only because I usually consume more BBQ sauce than hot sauce was I able to feel a little more of a euphoric kick with this medicated condiment. 

I squeezed out every last drop from the Roadie pouch onto my patented Turkey Burger Surprise (the surprise being that it actually tastes good). After about 15 or 20 minutes I could feel a thin veil of warmth creep over me like a gentle summer breeze, and then I fell asleep watching Forensic Files. Whether it was the tryptophan in the turkey meat or the good ol’ fashioned THC from the Sweet Heat Texas Style BBQ sauce, relaxation was definitely in order.

Being that both Roadie pouches from Saucy contain only natural ingredients and are free from the myriad of harmful ingredients that sauces of this ilk tend to contain, one is not likely to experience any sort of stomach distress. I didn’t. It also seems ideal for those living that keto life, or anyone who is just plain health conscious.

This is the first time I have ever seen or tried cannabis infused hot sauces or BBQ sauces. I can definitely see a world where people’s drawers are filled with Roadie pouches instead of all those soy sauce and Tapatio packets. I can see these at BBQ’s, Cinco de Mayo parties, Potluck dinners or any adventuresome food gatherings that welcome an expanse of the mind just as much as they do the expanse of a waistline.
