The Goldilocks Of Weed Gummies
Review by Kieryn Wang

As someone who's had lukewarm experiences with edibles, these gummies are nothing short of a miracle.
I don’t typically prefer edibles. I’m much more of a joint, bong, and
“You can tell right away you’re about to have a nice sugary treat.”
Out of the three Lush flavors, I tried Hawaiian Mix and Mixed Berries. First of all, the smell is enticingly sweet and citrusy, so you can tell right away you’re about to have a nice sugary treat. With the Mixed Berries, I actually got a Tootsie Roll sort of déjà vu feeling on first whiff and the taste was a bit creamier than that of the Hawaiian Mix, which was orange-leaning in its citrus flavor. Both had a wonderful, luxurious mouthfeel where you could chew or let it sit and melt and either experience would be delightful. The only warning I would offer is that, aside from the child-proof, individually sealed packaging, the chews can be mistaken for non-infused candy because there isn't the slightest hint of cannabis. Just be wary if you have living beings in your life (children, animals, in-laws) who cannot consume this product.
Frankly, I still can’t get over how easy it was for me to use these Lush chews for productivity, energy, and (when I wanted to) some freeing of inhibitions. For those looking to be more creative and escape self-consciousness, this is the edible for you. I found that I felt a lot more confident and less worried about whether or not other people were judging me, which allowed me to tap into a creative stream of consciousness I usually only reserve for when I’m alone. For those looking to substitute alcohol, this definitely could be the right edible for you, too. The Mixed Berries chew simulated a pleasant, alcohol-fueled self-assurance perfect for socializing and dancing.
I started my day with one 10mg (of
One thing I like to do is start with an average dose and then add on microdoses throughout the day to keep the high alive but not overwhelming. Consuming half of another chew as the first one started to wear off set me up for success and kept the high chugging along. The important thing I learned with the Mixed Berries chew was to get off the couch or else run the risk of deflating energy-wise. I didn't have that problem with the Hawaiian Mix chew, which helped me gain momentum rather than lose it. I found that if I needed a boost of energy, I could eat a little more of the Hawaiian Mix chews and if I wanted to feel euphoric and slightly intoxicated, I could munch on some of the Mixed Berries variety. Ultimately, it's all about finding balance and adapting my high to the kind of day I'm having.
“Go into your edible experience with some sort of intention.”
I'll admit I never tried Lush’s product line before because of the packaging design—it just doesn't speak to me. But I didn’t realize the edibles inside the bags were of such high quality and aligned with my desired effects. When I learned that Lush was under the Verdelux umbrella, it immediately clicked for me. A few years ago, when I was traveling more often, I loved to take Verdelux’s Bon Bombs before flights to be able to manage uncomfortable seats and rude humans. Their Bon Bombs are delicious, have no cannabis taste, and are perfect for caramel and chocolate lovers. The other bonus about these edibles is their pricing. You can get a bag of ten 10mg Lush chews for $29 or individual 10mg chews for $5 each. Bon Bombs are also equitably priced, in my opinion, at $35 for a bag of ten 10mg chocolates or $6 for individual pieces. In my opinion, they make fantastic gifts for friends who may be curious about edibles but aren't sure where to start.
I’ll leave you with one more pro tip: Go into your edible experience with some sort of intention. Whether you're into relaxing or being productive, your mindset will honestly carry this high for you. As always, if you're trying a product for the first time, start low and go slow. With a little planning and some thoughtfulness, you really can't go wrong with these chews.
