When it comes to
“The tabs are small and perfect to just pop in your mouth. ”
After getting some soda water to try and settle my stomach, the high began to set in. It’s pleasant at the start. Easy and breezy, and the CBD relief was very apparent from the get-go. I suffer from a lot of aches and pains due to my rheumatoid arthritis. For that reason, I take special note of products that can relieve my pain while minimizing side effects, which makes them generally safer than over the counter pain relief. This product succeeded in creating a relaxing wave that echoed through my joints, making me feel lighter and pain-free. The pacing of this high is something to be noted as well. I found it came on slowly, but surely. It didn’t rush in and didn’t spike, which is to say it was very predictable how high you were going to be by doing some quick high math. In fact, I found the peak of the high to be incredibly pleasant and smooth.
That pleasantness was short-lived, however. As the high continued it gave way to a heavier, more lethargic feeling that put a big drag right in the middle of my day. To add to that, I was still reeling a bit from the nausea from the initial intake, and I’d spent much of the high battling the tossing and turning of my stomach. There is a give and take to be considered when talking about highs that relieve pain. A lot of products achieve their pain-relieving properties by relaxing your body, which in turn can cause you to feel heavy and lethargic. It’s a fair trade-off (or, if you like feeling heavy then it’s a win-win), but when a product makes me feel lazy and a bit slow in the head, the pain relief best be through the roof. These tabs failed to really excel in anything and were just okay in a few areas.
“As the high continued, my ideas only became more frequent, and my creative flow really started to fire on all cylinders. ”
One of which was creative inspiration. I found I had a mild perk of ideas that started to flow right from the beginning of the high. As the high continued, my ideas only became more frequent, and my creative flow really started to fire on all cylinders. Yet, like most of my experience with this product, this great uptick in creative energy was stymied by the deeply heavy feeling that accompanied it. In fact, this edible seemed to consistently be working against itself. The tabs are small and perfect to just pop in your mouth. Well, they taste horrible. They have a wonderful pain-relief to them that will relax you. Well, it’ll relax you into being nothing but a lump of clay. They will inspire and your mind will percolate with fresh ideas. Well, you’re still clay.
At the end of the day, most of this product’s crimes can be forgiven. Perhaps I should have partaken on a lazy Sunday. I would have let my mind go, and not cared so much about how I wanted to take a nap in the middle of the day. Or perhaps taking this before going to sleep would be a great idea. However, what is unforgivable is the intake experience. It can’t be overstated how disappointing it is when you go to have an edible or pill and it starts off with such a gross flavor. Like going to unwrap a Christmas present and realizing, in horror, that the bow is made of crap. No matter what the present was or how much you would have enjoyed it, your hands are covered in crap. It’s hard to enjoy a high, no matter how good it may be, if the initial impression is bad. Belaboring something while high is a ubiquitous experience, and so why would you want your customer to spend the high thinking about how nauseous you made them?
