Was it my birthday? No. But there’s always a reason to celebrate. Now, birthday cake flower unfortunately doesn’t actually taste or smell like birthday cake, but it was still delicious to consume. My first experience with this strain started off a bit rocky. I smoked it in between work Zoom calls and didn’t realize how strong it was until I was on my next call, and I had to keep reminding myself that I was on camera, LOL. Luckily it was near the end of the workday and I spent the rest of my high outside in the grass using my stargazer app to view constellations in the sky. It just felt right to be outside in the fresh air, especially since we were still quarantined. Any chance to get outside for a bit, I’m taking it. This high made me want to explore, explore, explore, but stargazing in the daytime would suffice until I could go on a proper adventure.

I was more prepared for session two, and I went the route of celebratory self-care. It was a cloudy day outside, so I decided a long bubble bath and a movie was the ultimate move. I put a ridiculous amount of bubbles in my bath because that was the vibe, which doubled as part of my entertainment, making bubble shapes and feeling like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when she took a swim in Edward’s gigantic tub. Birthday Cake gave me the creative visuals I needed to daydream about my future home, which must include a huge tub that can fit two people so I can wrap my legs around them and give proper physical therapy for the bargain price of love.

Overall, once you figure out what type of setting works best for different strains, you’re in the clear and on your way to pure happiness. But we test these for a reason, and I know I won’t be reaching for this when I have a deadline, but I’ll hit a fat bong rip when I wrap the project and can allow my mind to wander.
