Long Hair, Do Care

This isn’t the time to cut your own hair—just put some weed in it.

IN REVIEW: STEAM's new line of cannabis-infused hair care products offer healthy and helpful options without the high. Their use of all-natural ingredients should leave anyone happy, but the outcome, free of residue and full of radiance, should keep many coming back. The price point may be too high for some to use as a daily product, but getting them into the rotation (or treating yourself for a change) will be more than worth it.

Hair has always been a way people deal with stressful life changes, such as breakups. Now it's become a major focus for those of us in quarantine. As we sit inside week after week, there it is, just growing away. The inability to go to salons, combined with boredom and freedom from the judgy eyes of others, is making people do absolutely insane things to the stuff on their heads. The internet is littered with horror stories of home haircuts and dye jobs gone awry. I myself have already cut my own hair at least three times. So before I go completely bald or dye my hair green, I decided to try a safer way to do something totally new and a little crazy with my hair: Put some weed in it.

Steam is a line of hair care products that boasts cannabis as an ingredient. Their website states one of the reasons THC is the active ingredient in their products is that “It mimics your own body’s defenses to pollutants, irritants, and stressors giving you better, more potent products from head-to-toe.” The THC in them won’t penetrate your bloodstream, so there’s no risk (or hope) of getting high from your morning shower. Their products are also cruelty-free and without parabens, pesticides, residual solvents, microbials, mycotoxins, or heavy metals. It’s always a treat to know that you can feel good about a product all around.
