Beholding these frosty bad boys is like walking into a winter wonderland. Lots of trichomes really highlight this herbaceous flower. Notes of mint continued to unfold on my palate well after my bong session. This was a smooth smoke all the way through, and the effects were pure insight and euphoria.

As a hybrid, it checked all the boxes. I found myself to be pretty slow-going on this particular morning and just wanted something to get me into the groove of the day. After sampling this Kush Mint from Blaqstar, I turned into a whirling dervish of productivity. 

It wasn't necessarily energetic, but it definitely lit some sort of fire under my ass. I was overcome with this sense of time being a finite thing, and that you just needed to either get into the mix or be left behind. I felt as if this flower moved through me like a motivational speaker of sorts. It also opened the mental floodgates to creative thinking.

After cleaning up the house and attending to all my email-related errands, I settled into a really focused two hours of fiction writing and plot hole fixing. To my delight, it was an undeterred and uninterrupted two hours, and the result was that I had gotten more writing done in this small amount of time than I had in the last week. 

I now looked upon these Kush Mints as a secret weapon. Something I could smoke in order to fulfill that creative urge. As a reward for my productivity, I decided to smoke some more, and this is when the more indica side of this flower became known to me.

Having been nursing a shoulder injury of late, I was happy to find that this Kush Mint flower worked well as an analgesic. I fell into a relaxing and ethereal state of mind that really paid no heed to any existing aches and pains. 

What was better yet was that I also didn't have any semblance of stress. Where I was swimming in anxiety one morning, I was now magically without troubles. It was an almost startling 180 from earlier, and it's a testament to how this flower can just pull good vibes out of the ether.

It also helps that with a name such as Kush Mints, this bud could almost be described as refreshing to smoke. Its minty flavor was akin to inhaling a mojito sensation. Pushing almost 30% THC potency, one would think that this could be an overwhelming high. I never found that to be the case, however. 

There is a clarity to it that helps facilitate that creative boost, and when that wanes, what takes its place is a very level-headed feeling of acceptance and gratitude. At no point did I feel in danger of falling into the black hole of eternal despair. It was calm sailing but not forgettable by any stretch of the imagination. 

I'm making note of this flower next time I suffer from writer's block or hit some sort of creative impasse. I am thoroughly impressed by the way it opens up the horizons and allows you to run free within the playgrounds of your own mind.
