Eat Chips, Get Lit, Repeat
Tsumo’ Edibles: Come for the THC, stay for the taste.
IN REVIEW: From gummies to chocolate, sweet edibles get all the hype, but they’ve had their time in the sun. It’s time for savory edibles to stake their claim, and Tsumo Snacks have planted their flag in the form of some pretty fabulous infused chips. Coming in multiple flavors like Ranch and Salsa Verde and packing in 10mg of THC per pouch, you can dose to your desire all day long or take them all down for a snack that will surely leave you smacked.
I sampled these infused snacks during the holiday season, which means there was a ton of crap going on. Final deadlines for work, traveling, being around your weird family. Sometimes you just need a little something to take the edge off. Sometimes, you just need to eat some chips.
One of my favorite things about this job is trying out products I would maybe otherwise overlook or not consider altogether. But fortunately for me and you both, I have seen the light when it comes to this savory edible, and I’m going to tell you why.

What Are Tsumo Snacks you might ask? Tsumo snacks are single serving bags of little savory crunchy chips that pack 10mg of THC into a delightful snacking experience. They come in five scrumptious varieties: Salsa Verde, Zesty Ranch, Classic Cheese Puffs, Hint of Lime, and Fiery Hot Cheese Crunch.
The flavors are going to remind you of some of the most popular brands of chips that used to be nestled lovingly in your lunchbox or enjoyed as an after-school snack in the 90s.
Each bag is considered an individual serving, but you are of course welcome to split up the amount of chips you consume in each sitting if 10mg is too much buzz for you at one time. Making this perfect for seasoned stoners and the cannacurious alike.
And with so many edibles on the market offering varying experiences you might be wondering if these chips are actually going to get you high. And while I was skeptical myself, the truth is, YES.
I was at home in the days after Thanksgiving and was feeling like I needed some assistance while being around my family. So, needless to say, I had a little snack.
It wasn’t a freaky high where all of a sudden I didn’t feel comfortable and needed to be alone, it was actually really pleasant. I felt mellow, and content being in the present moment.

My mom and I joked around with each other, and then before bedtime I casually tried on all of my old dance costumes just to see if they would fit (they didn’t).
Best of all, eating a bag of chips is pretty discreet! For those of you who hide your cannabis consumption, but don’t tend to go for sweet gummy edibles, you may have just found your marijuana match.
And as for what’s in them? Not much more than what’s found in a normal chip. Predominantly: corn, salt, flavoring, and finally the reason we’re all here, 10mg of beautiful THC.
If you’re a vegan, the Salsa Verde variety of these chips should work for you. And all varieties appear to be gluten-free as well, but of course, if you are someone with celiacs disease I would still do your due diligence and give the ingredients list a once-over before imbibing.
Tell me more about the Salsa Verde Chips you say? I am a person who loves spice, so I was pleasantly surprised when I started to munch on my little green bag of Salsa Verde chips as they really do have a kick to them! On a spice scale (gosh I feel like I’m talking about Dune over here) of 1-10, I would give these a 6.5.
The chips themselves are small, about ⅓ the size of a regular Dorito, and in the shape of a circle. But they are absolutely crispy, crunchy, and packed with flavor.

As mentioned before, the bag does not explicitly say that they are vegan and gluten-free, but from my humble investigation, they seem to be vegan and gluten-free.
And the Zesty Ranch ones? Baby, they are LIT. Just like the Salsa Verde ones, the Zesty Ranch chips are small and round, and the flavor does not disappoint. These chips are so good they had me drinking the crumbs from the bag like a raccoon.
Though unlike the Salsa Verde variety, the Zesty Ranch does contain milk, which automatically makes it a no-go for vegans. However, they still appear to be safe for gluten-free folks. And just a heads-up with all of the flavors, they are made in a facility that processes soy and tree nuts.
We live in the golden age of weed. There are so many ways to enjoy the benefits of this amazing plant that I’m hardly surprised one of them includes crunching on delicious, savory chips.
Now go forth and crunch! And you’ll quickly find that these chips are perfect for a day at the beach, a picnic, before a flight, or as a quirky gift. My only regret is that I don’t have more to share.
