It’s the holiday season, and I’ve been doing a lot of celebrating. Be it with friends passing through, festive parties or random nights on the town, let’s just say I’ve been doing a lot of eating, drinking, and being merry—emphasis on the drinking. And although I know how to control myself, the endless nights of empty wine bottles start to take their toll on you.
So the other night as work was winding down for the day, I was in the mood for a beverage to help take the edge off, but alcohol was the last thing on my mind. I opened up my fridge and saw a can of Lime Twist Wynk staring back up at me and I thought, “Well, hello there, my pretty.”

I grabbed the glossy green and white can and began to scan the details on this cannabis-infused beverage. Each can is dosed with a balance of 2.5 grams THC and CBD, which sounded like a jolly ol’ time to me. And it’s infused with all-natural lime flavoring, bubbly seltzer water, and zero calories. After reading the details, all I could think was, “Bottoms up!”
I cracked open the can, and the familiar sound of fizz greeted my ears. I took a whiff as the bubbles tickled my nose, and the sweet smell of carbonated citrus danced around my nostrils. It smelled like a lemon-lime soda, but without all that fake nonsense. Instead, it smelled refreshing, zesty, and bright.
I took my first sip and thought I was drinking an actual cocktail. It tasted almost identical to a tequila soda that I would pour for myself, sans the tequila. Instead, the bitter taste of alcohol was replaced with an herbal bite, courtesy of the cannabis infusion. It also had just the right amount of bubbles to tickle my palate and perk up my attitude.
I continued to sip on this crisp, sparkling beverage until I sent my last email about 15 minutes later. As I shut my laptop with a sigh, I looked around my apartment with a new sense of clarity. It had only been a few minutes since I finished the last drops of my drink, but I was already starting to feel cheery yet chill. I sat on my couch for just a moment in silence, deciding what to do with the rest of my evening now that I was in such a jolly mood.

Since my partner was out of town, I thought it would be the perfect time to watch a classic Christmas movie and wrap a few presents. I was able to wrap my presents in absolute peace and completely let go of the workday.
I can see myself reaching for a can of Wynk anytime I don’t feel like drinking, when I’m socializing with friends, or just for a chill night at home alone (perhaps even while watching Home Alone). These would even make a great party favor to get the celebrations started off on a merry foot—and I know I’m grabbing a can in every flavor to make sure I’m ready for the rest of the holiday season!
