“I experienced bursts of authentic joy along this nostalgic trip down memory lane.”
The first morning I enjoyed the Passion Fruit/Mango Bite as a sweet breakfast treat in addition to my morning latte. While a cup of joe and a fruit-flavored edible might not be the most natural pairing, I experienced no ill side effects. It was a day of calm waters, with only the occasional wave from prolonged dry mouth.
What surprised me most about the Sativa Passion Fruit/Mango was its durability. I felt like I was riding the same peak for hours. Some real euphoria came along with this high. I took my dog for a walk, and noticed for the first time ever that one of the townhouses down the block had a pool. This edible allows you to see a bit further, or a bit more than usual. I must have walked that same route a thousand times and never realized there was a pool just down the street. This triggered some of my happiest childhood memories, spending summers growing up at the community swimming club in Cape Cod. I experienced bursts of authentic joy on this nostalgic trip down memory lane.
The positivity powered me through a number of chores upon my return home, even fixing the doorknob leading to the garage—something that had been on my to-do list forever. Once I settled into the couch for the evening, I opted for their Indica Blueberry/Lemon option. The fact that it, like all of the Select Bites, contains corn syrup is a minus for me. If you're health conscious regarding your edibles, it’s something to be aware of. But let’s face it, these are essentially candy, which we know isn’t good for you—until you put THC in it...then for most of us it’s a toss up.
“I made myself a cup of tea and felt a deep sense of calm, and before long I was fast asleep.”
This indica offering proved effective in winding me down for the night. Before I melted too deeply into my couch, I needed to take my dog out again. The night was overcast, unseasonably warm and totally silent. I walked for a while, staring off into the moonlit clouds and leaning into the quiet, allowing the high to open up for me. The entire walk took on a meditative feeling. Once I got home, I made myself a cup of tea and felt a deep sense of calm, and before long I was fast asleep. It’s a great edible alternative to Ambien and the like.
The next day after lunch, I tried the Strawberry/Watermelon Hybrid. It was definitely the most flavorful and tasted the best of the three, for me. In that spirit of deliciousness, I took one and a half bites. That turned out to be the right
Once the high of the Hybrid Strawberry/Watermelon peaked, I felt overcome with excitement, and despite the overnight rain, I decided to grab my dog and head into the muddy hills nearby. Slipping and sliding we went, barreling through the dirty trail. I found I didn’t care in the slightest. I thought about how I was wearing new sneakers, now caked in mud, along with my dog. I shrugged it off and thought, “Who cares?” knowing I could just clean up at home. Every time I heard that nagging voice, I was able to settle it down. This high was letting me catch some of my scattered thoughts in such a way that any panic soon disappeared entirely. Such stress-relieving properties were evident from the onset, as it really only left room for joy.
While each Select Bite came with a noticeable level of dry mouth, and some occasional anxiousness at times, each shone through with huge, long-lasting euphoria, leaving the user with valuable insights or spontaneous adventures. It was a winding journey worth revisiting.
