I fully expected a portal to open so that I could enter a hidden realm of other well meaning couch people. Where we would glide across green valleys from the comfort of our own sofas and enjoy an everlasting bounty of good vibes. Such was the feeling when this high hit its zenith.

As a rest-and-relaxation aid, this worked with flying colors. I was able to take a nap and wake up fully rested, with no grogginess to speak of to boot. And as far as the flavor goes, this was awash in fresh watermelon. Not like that really artificial tasting watermelon you sometimes get in certain vapes. This was a subtly sweet and nuanced sort of watermelon that lingered on the palette and asked you to come back for more. A total treat to vape through and through.

Despite the high-THC content, I found this to be a manageable high. It never veered off track in terms of paranoia and anxiety, and I found it easy on the lungs and throat. The diamonds extracted from the Watermelon Z really gives this PAX Era Pod a palpable sense of cleanness.

This high kept me in a very flexible headspace. Later in the night, an aging rock star was performing near where I live, and I decided to catch his show with a pal of mine. This was just the right sort of buzz to make you want to listen to some live music. The low-key nature of this PAX Era pod also made it pretty easy to vape in tucked-away corners of the venue, which is exactly what I did.

I was primed for a night of turning back the clock and listening to some old hits. I hesitate to mention the artist’s name only because he sounded terrible and halfway through the show my buddy turned to me as if to say, “Are we enjoying this?” So we decided to leave early and take the long walk back to my place, vaping all the way. The conversation we shared was quite frankly better than any portion of the rock show. Just one of those classic convos while high that has a tendency to occupy its own sense of time and place.

Watermelon Z evokes a natural feeling of wanting to share a common experience with others. It’s a heartfelt and open type of high that’s great for recovering from a long workout, and likewise great for social gatherings or just seeing a show with friends.

In that sense, it’s an ideal hybrid that pushes forth the best of both worlds. I would describe the relaxing body sensations as more in line with an indica, but the energy reserves and mental positivity as more of a sativa. And best of all? Zero side effects here from both sides. I didn’t even feel hungry, which for me is a rarity when high, leaving this amongst the best tasting diamond vape pods that I have tried. And one I will reach for whenever I see it on the shelf.
